• MSCLirica was unable to dock in the port of Cork

Due to adverse weather conditions, MSCLirica was unable to dock in the port of Cork. She will arrive in Amsterdam tomorrow at 10.30 pm.

Gale and storm warning are currently in place for the pork of Cork. A combination of high winds, heavy rainfall, abnormally low pressure and high tides will cause dangerous conditions in south Munster (which Cork is located) and east Leinster during Wednesday 15th August.

Update 15/8/2012 1:30 pm Irish Time:

Due to adverse weather conditions, MSC Lirica was unable to dock as originally scheduled this morning in the port of Cork, Ireland. MSC Lirica’s call in Cork has now been cancelled, as strong winds are expected to continue and worsen this afternoon. Now the ship is heading directly to Amsterdam where she will arrive tomorrow at 10.30 pm.

This change in itinerary is due to circumstances beyond our control. The safety and security of MSC Cruises’ guests and crew remains our number one priority and itinerary changes are made to ensure the safety and comfort of all those on board.
